The Finance Department Collects rents, pays all the Housing Authority's bills as they come due, receives and accounts for all State and Federal grants, and pays Section 8 landlords (15 million annually).

The Finance Department receives and accounts for all HUD grants and subsidies monies, pays Section 8 landlords (15 million annually), pays vendors and receives and accounts for all State grants and subsidies monies . It prepares annual budgets, provides regular reports on the financial condition of the Housing Authority to all stakeholders. Safeguards the Housing Authority’s assets and manages all audits.

The Finance Department is responsible for the accounting of tenant Rent Accounts, Section 8 portability vouchers, it provides accounting support for two non profits that it is under management agreement with the Authority. It is responsible for all Information technology Hardware and software.
Tenant Rent Accounts - Receives tenant rents, generates monthly bills to tenants and informs tenants when rent is overdue. Wanda Massiah
